We married on March 19th, 2016 on Mammoth Mountain, CA and soon after, quit our jobs in San Francisco to leave for the adventure of a lifetime in our Sprinter Van. The trip was inspired by a growing bucket list of places we wanted to see and a lack of time to do them, being so busy working. For about a year and a half, we saved our pennies and then we bought a van. It took about 2 months to convert our cargo van into a camper, then we hit the road.
We really wanted to explore North America mostly because it was our backyard and we wanted to learn about places that we could return to and that would be accessible for us in the future. We have already found so many amazing places that we will absolutely be returning to.
Our general plan was to travel up the west coast to British Columbia then to Jasper & Banff in Alberta, and down the Rockies through Utah’s National Parks and then back home to San Diego for Thanksgiving. We were planning to go to the south of Mexico, but that plan is up in the air at this point.
Some more info on our plan can be found on the ‘Our Plan’ page here.

The discoveries which we make abroad are special and particular; those which we make at home are general and significant. The further off, the nearer the surface. The nearer home, the deeper.
