Seattle: Chasing Waterfalls & Cozy Mountain Towns
A slow day east of Seattle: Snoqualmie Falls from the viewpoint, then time in Snoqualmie or North Bend for lunch and a walk around town. You are back the same afternoon.

The day
Leave the city in the morning and let someone else handle the driving. This day is built around the public viewpoint at Snoqualmie Falls and an unhurried stop in the towns just downstream. There is no hike you have to finish. If the falls lot is full, or a viewpoint is closed, the day shifts to the town stop and another roadside view that is open. Waterfall volume and the weather are not promised.

Schedule
Times are a plan, not a promise. Traffic, a closure, or a full parking lot can move them.
-
9:00 AM
Pickup and departure
Seattle-area meeting point
Meet the driver, get a short briefing, and leave. The exact street address is confirmed after we accept the request.
If this stop is closed: If the meeting point is blocked, we agree a nearby legal curb before departure day.
-
10:00 AM
Snoqualmie Falls
Public viewpoint, Snoqualmie
Time at the viewpoint for the falls, photos, and a short walk on the developed paths. You do not need to take a trail down to the river.
If this stop is closed: If the viewpoint or parking is closed, we skip it and add the time in town.
-
11:30 AM
A second look, if the road allows
A verified roadside viewpoint on the way into town
One optional stop for a wider view of the valley. It is dropped when parking is unsafe or the pullout is closed.
If this stop is closed: Continue straight to town.
-
12:30 PM
Lunch on your own
Snoqualmie or North Bend
Free time to buy lunch. Food is not included. Choice of restaurant depends on what is open and how large the group is.
If this stop is closed: If the first choice is closed, you still have the town time to find another counter or market.
-
2:00 PM
Town time and coffee
Snoqualmie or North Bend
A walk, a coffee, and a look at the main street. Shops that are closed that day are simply closed.
If this stop is closed: Stay with the part of town that is open.
-
3:00 PM
Return toward Seattle
I-90 west
The driver starts back with time set aside for the afternoon commute.
If this stop is closed: The drop-off window moves later if the highway is slow. We do not promise a clock time.
-
4:00–5:00 PM
Drop-off
Seattle-area meeting point
Estimated return window. The same point you started from, unless we agreed otherwise before the day.
Meals
Meals are not included. Lunch, coffee, and snacks are yours to buy during the free time on the schedule.
Pickup and drop-off
We collect the group at one agreed Seattle-area point: downtown, Capitol Hill, Ballard, or the eastside near I-90. The street address is confirmed after we accept the request. Please be there 10 minutes early.
- Downtown Seattle
- Capitol Hill
- Ballard
- Eastside near I-90
The same Seattle-area point, in a window rather than at a single promised minute. I-90 traffic can move that window.
Who it suits, and access
Easy. Walking is on viewpoint paths and town sidewalks. A longer trail is not part of the day.
Couples, friends, families with children who can ride in a seat belt, and anyone who wants a day out without planning it. This is not a hiking trip.
The main Snoqualmie Falls view is a developed viewpoint, not a backcountry trail. Surfaces can be wet. The town stop is sidewalks and shop entrances, which vary. Tell us about stairs, walking distance, or a mobility aid in your request so we can say whether this day fits.
Public restrooms at the falls visitor area and in town, when those facilities are open. We do not control their hours.
Weather and closures
Rain does not cancel the day by itself. If a lot is closed or a path is unsafe, we use the town time and a roadside view instead. We do not promise waterfall flow, sun, or a clear photo.
If Snoqualmie Falls is closed or the lot cannot take the van, the group stays with the Snoqualmie or North Bend town stop and a safe roadside viewpoint on the same corridor. The day still ends in Seattle.
Bring
- A layer you can add or remove
- Comfortable shoes with some grip
- A way to pay for your own lunch

Cancellation
A request does not take payment and does not hold the date. Once a day is confirmed, cancellation follows the terms on this website. A free date change is not promised. This is not trip-cancellation insurance.

Tell us the group, the pickup, and the day you want. We reply within 24 hours, including weekdays.
